 Our area’s prep sports scene is rich in history, intense in rivalry and consistently produces state playoff teams in all three seasons. We place a high value on writing about the people who make the games so interesting. The ideal candidate has a firm grasp of AP style, the ability to write clear, concise stories on tight deadlines, the ability to develop news reports on your own initiative and without direction, experience using multimedia platforms, and the news judgment necessary to determine what does or does not make a story.  The right person will be able to find the news on the local sports beats as well as write features, columns, and game stories.
